Dottie's World-I Need Flowers!

Hello and Happy Mother's Day!
This week Gunn is hosting the Dottie's World challenge, and she wants us to add flowers to our card. :o) Easy...cause I LOVE adding flowers/using floral patterned paper!
So I used one of my favorite charmed downloads from the Holly & Madison World Tour-Madison in France and you can get it HERE.
Maddy is colored in with copics of course. :o)
Paper is Green at Heart by Basic Grey...and so are all the little die cut flowers, and the journal box.
The sentiment is Close To My Heart
The rhinestone swirls are Me & My Big Ideas

That's pretty much it....I'm off to Mother's Day brunch with LOTS of family.
I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the morning.

Have a fabby Sunday and if you are in Canada-have a fabby Mother's Day!
Oh and make sure you check out the Dottie's World Challenge blog to see what all the other designer's came up with for this challenge.

Dottie's World-All Sewn Up!

Hello and Happy Sunday. :o)
Sorry about the long time since my last has gotten crazy...well a little more crazy than usual. PLus the weather here has been quite crazy which has caused me to suffer several migraines....I even had the pleasure of experiencing the aura...which was not very pleasant!
But I'm feeling better now and took a half day off "work" today to work on this card.

This week I'm hosting the Dottie's World challenge and I want to see some stitching-faux/machine, hand are all fine, and also include a Charmed Download as well. I just love the look and feel of machine stitching on makes the cards feel so heavy and finishes them off realy makes a beautiful card....stunning.

I used the Holly in England image form the Holly/Madison World Tour collection, and you can get it HERE. I love this image-it reminds me of my friend Jody. :o)
I colored Holly in with my copics....and wow was it great to use my copics again-two weeks is toooo long to neglect my little "friends".
The paper I used is a special kit from Close to My Heart called The Miracle kit, and it is only available during the month of May 2010.
The ribbon, sentiment and tag are also CTMH
The pearl flourishes are from them to pieces!

I think that's about it.
Make sure you check out the Dottie's World challenge blog to see what the other designer's came up with HERE

Thanks for stopping by,
Have a great day!

Hello and Happy Wednesday...the week is almost over again.....yikes life is flying by.
It's The Truly Scrumptious Challenge #30 this week...we have another fabby sketch by Mina and an additional, optional, challenge of "April Showers" theme, which is kinda funny for me because I live in Alberta, Canada-and we don't experience April Showers here....we experience April Flurries....seriously it's snowing right now.
Here is the sketch that our very own, very talented Mina created:

OKay so here are the details for today's card:
Paper is Close To My Heart-Caboodle-love this paper, it's so cute for kid's cards.
The image is Whipper Snapper, colored in with copics.
The flowers and tiny tabs are also Close To My Heart.
The buttons are Making Memories
I also did some machine stitching....I have to tell you I lOVE machine stitching on cards-it just finishes any card beautifully. :o)
Well I think thats about it.....make sure you check out the Truly Scrumptious Challenge blog to see what the other designer's came up with and you should play along with us this week-there is a super cute Pink Gems Designs image:

Isn't it an adorable image??? Check out The Pink Gem Designs site HERE to see all the adorable images they have. :o)

Dottie's World-Butterflies

Hello and Happy Easter Sunday!
We are off to church this morning to celebrate the resurrection of Christ-rejoice!
And then out for brunch and then off to Nana and Opa's for an Easter Egg Hunt. I'm looking forward to all the children getting dolled up in their Sunday best outfits. Time for pictures and celebrating. :o)
What do you do on Easter Sunday?
Well it's also my turn to host the Dottie's World Challenge for this week. I decided to do something Spring like and ask for 3d butterfly embellishments. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I made my butterflies using the new SU! embossed it! So very pretty.
The Charmed Download I used is from the latest collection called Sugar and Spice-you can get it HERE
I used my new CratePaper again....I just love this paper! I promise I'll set it aside for the next few cards I make.....I just can't help it-I love it that much!
Ribbon is My Mind's Eye and the brads are CratePaper.

I think thats pretty much it.

This week we have a fabby sketch for the Truly Scrumptious challenge, and we also have the added, optional challenge of adding the theme "fly away"
So here is the sketch:
I used a super cute Tilda holding a bee image...I got her from The Magnolia-licious Store...and I just LOVE her! I colored her in with my copics. copics I used for her clothes are here:(r81/83/85; bg11/32/34; e40/41/42/43/44)
The paper is CratePaper:Paper Dolls, and so are the brads and stickers.
The butterflies are Martha Stewart.
The sentiment are Close To My Heart: Card Chatter.
I also used some doodlebug chunky glitter on the bee's wings.
I think that's about it!

Dottie's World-Handmade Flowers

Hello and Happy Sunday... once again. I missed the last couple of Dottie's World challenges because I was in Oklahoma with my sister, and just couldn't pull it together to get my cards done before I left. No matter how organized I try to get, I always feel DiSOrgaNized! :o)
Anyways, this week at Dottie's World Adele is hosting the challenge. This is what she asked for:

"Hi everyone, Adele here and it's my turn to set the challenge this week. With spring (hopefully) in the air I want you to think:
Paper Roses...............
or daffs, or get the picture? BUT I don't want to see any pre-made flowers please - only die cuts, punched flowers or any flower/s you have made from scratch on your creations this week please. The only other limitation is that a Charmed Download MUST be used....but that is no limitation at all is it, there is so much to choose from! LOL
Don't forget the blog candy over on my own blog could be you who wins yourself a freebie Charmed Download of your choice!
Looking forward to seeing all your bloomers!!!!!!"

I made my flower by using the Sizzix Layered Flowers Die. I just cut it a couple of times with different papers and then crumpled up the flowers so they would have some dimension.
LOVED this challenge-so much fun!
I also love Digi-images. :o) I love being able to make the images any size I wish. The possibilities become endless. For this card I used Madison In France and you can get her HERE
I cropped her and made her bigger than usual and I just love the result!
I colored her in with my copics (bg11/bg32/bg34 gy03/gy13 and my pink favorites: r81/r83/r85)
I also used my glue pen to add some White Prisma Glitter to her French Tam.
The paper is BRAND SPANKIN' NEW! It's Crate Paper: Paper Doll Collection and it is adorable. It comes in a kit that includes lots of double sided matching paper and two sheets of coordinating stickers! LOVE it!
The sentiment "love you much" is SU! and you can get it HERE
I free handed the "babe" hate my hand writing, but was too lazy to get my alphabet stamps out!
I think that's about all for now.
The weather is starting to get nice and the green grass is slowly started to peak through...aaahhhhh spring at last! :o)

By for now!
