Spring & High Hopes Challenge #23

Well, here in Calgary,Canada it really doesn't feel much like Spring. The 2 feet of snow we got on Sunday really makes it feel like January....you get the picture!

Anyways, I made this card for The High Hopes challenge #23-"use buttons!"
Not a problem for me....I add buttons to almost every card I make. ;O)
Kelly sent me a few of her new High Hopes images and I gotta tell you...I LOVE this bunny!
My first instinct was to color him in white...like most easter bunnies... but I started shading and went a bit over board and so he became a brown bunny! :O) I still love him.

The paper is from my Nana's Nursery stack from Michael's.
Flowers are prima
Buttons are My Mind's Eye
Ric Rac ribbon is CTMH
The Spring sentiment is CTMH

Thanks for looking~Have a Great Day!
I'm off to clean my house....my cleaning lady is coming today!

Welcome Baby

I made this card for friends of ours who just had a baby. They named her Yuna. Isn't that such a pretty name? Her mommy is Japanese and I believe  she is named after her grandma. Yuna is so tiny, she has the most adorable little facial features!
Anyways! I made the base for this card last Saturday for Sketch Saturday but I was waiting for my new Whipper Snapper stamps to finish it off. I seriously didn't have any cute baby stamps in my stamp collection so I ordered some super cute ones from WS.
I colored in "baby bella" with my copics and added cotton candy stickles on her bow.
I used My Yellow Bicycle-Baby Safari paper, and some Close To My Heart Sweet Leaf cardstock
The flowers are from my LSS.
The buttons/ribbon/brads and pin are CTMH
I made the tag with my cricut and wrote welcome on it with my CTMH black micro marker
I also used my cricut to make Yuna
Of course I used my nesties and SU! scallop punch as well.

Thanks for looking!

Yummy-Friday Sketcher's #44 & Spoon Full Of Sugar

I just love this week's friday sketcher's #44, it's such a great sketch!

I also made this card for this week's Spoon Full Of Sugar #43-use gems....no problem! I use gems all the time!
I made this yummy card with one of my brand new High Hopes stamps...yes they finally arrived on friday! I waited a long time for them...but they were SO worth the wait. Now if my LSS could just stock another sheet of ez mount I'd actually get to ink them all up!

I used a few sheets of Nana's Nursery paper by DCWV. They finally went on sale at Michael's. I just love this stack....I know it's been around since last summer but I still love all the papers, they are just so ME....plaids/flowers/dots and stripes!
The stamp I used is of course High Hopes. I colored her in with my copics and added some stickles to her bows. I made the yummy sentiment with my cricut.
The flowers are prima with little punched out smaller flowers and CTMH gems.

That's it!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

You're The Best

Hello and Happy Saturday!
After three hours at the swim pool this morning for the kid's swim lessons; it was nice to get home and hide for a bit in my craft room and stamp away!
I just cannot get enough of these Holly & Madison digi-images! They are so much fun to color in!
This one is Holly from the USA of course! Isn't she just so sassy?
I printed her off on my Wausau Bright White cardstock from Walmart, using my canon pixma i8500 ink let printer. My digi-images never bleed or feather when I color them in with my copics and I can resize them to any size I want! I am just lovin' the digi image thing!

Okay so here are the complete details:
Paper is Little Yellow Bicycle-Baby Safari and I also used some CTMH Sweet Leaf cardstock
Ribbon is from Michael's craft store
Flowers and leaves are Making Memories
Pin is CTMH
Sparkles are from my LSS
I made the sentiment with my cricut
I also used my new MEGA curved rectangles...love them!
I also used my SU! scallop border punch!
I sponged some CTMH desert sand ink around all the edges for a bit of distressing....I kinda like the distressed look teamed up with some sparkle....it's kinda pretty ya'll. :O)
And of course I added some star dust stickles here and there. :O)

Have a great weekend!

Bathing Beauty

Another digi-image from Dotties World. Love them!
Here are the complete details:
I colored Holly in with my copics and then added lots of star dust stickles here and there.
The paper is Chatterbox...love this paper collection, it's almost all gone and it wasn't available at my LSS the last time I was there, so when it's gone it's gone forever!
The green ribbon is CTMH and the white flower ribbon is from the loonie store.
The flowers and leaves are Making Memories and the sparkles are CTMH.
I looked through my WHOLE ENTIRE stash of sentiments and I could NOT find anything sassy enough for this bathing beauty so this card doesn't have one! :O)

Anything For You-Dottie's World Sunday Challenge

Hello and Good Morning!
I just discovered these brand new cool digi images from Dottie's World. Tara is the new Designer for their challenge blog...aren't these super cute digi-images? My daughter Emily just loves them....I'll post her card later when she finishes it. :O)
I made this card for my sister who tends to gravitate to the asian theme when home decorating. I instantly thought of her when I saw this image of Holly in Asia.
I also made this card for the Dottie's World Sunday Challenge....use fabric.
The ribbon is fabric....and the smaller flowers are made out of felt.
I also have to tell you this:
I was kinda  scrambling around my scrapbook room this morning trying to find another wine colored flower to put on my card...but was unable to find one or any other color that was suitable. So I took out my awesome copic air brush system and airbrushed a white one with R39...one of the colors I used to color in Holly's outfit....doesn't it match perfectly? I LOVE my airbrush system! It is just so awesome!

Here are the rest of the details:
Paper is CTMH-Emporium
Flowers are an assortment.
Ribbon/brads and name plate are CTMH
The sentiment is also CTMH from the Priceless Word Puzzle set.
Image is from Dotties World and is colored in with my copics. :O)

Thanks for looking and have a super day!

Have I told you how much I LOVE the new My Mind's Eye paper-Bloom & Grow?? I just love this paper collection...it's so springy and the colors are just brilliant!
The flowers and tab are cut outs form the paper packet.
I used this week's Saturday Sketch #41

Isn't it just a super fab sketch??? I love this sketch and will definitely use it more than once!
The image is Tilda from Magnolia Rubber stamps. I colored her in with my copics and used a bit of stickles on her hair bow and heart.

My LSS finally got the brand new My Mind's Eye paper in...yippee! I've been waiting for a while for the Bloom & Grow collection. I just love it...it's so springy and pretty. :O)
For today's card I used this weeks Friday Sketchers #42:

I just LOVE this sketch! I used my old fiskars circle maker to make the circle....I've had that thing forever and it has NEVER let me down! I can adjust it to make any size circle up to 8inches diameter.  It's  just a classic!

Anyways,
here are the complete details:
Paper is My Mind's Eye-Grow & Bloom
The flowers/leaves/tag and label all came with my My Mind's Eye paper packet...isn't is just soooo adorable?
I colored in Tilda with my copics; and added a bit of stardust stickles here and there.
The brads, ribbon and the Sentiment are CTMH.

Thanks for looking and I hope I will find some scrappin' time this weekend to make some cards and get them posted....my husband is working another weekend on his plant so I'm going to be busy running kids around and entertaining them too. :O)

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2

Wow...Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2 is here already!
Challenge two is another FAB sketch and an added challenge of making your own buttons!
This weeks challenge is sponsored by The Sketching Stamper. Christine is giving away EIGHT of her digi-images! Isn't that just so generous?? Christine makes beautiful digi-images! I show cased one of her brand new ones on my card today:

Here is the sketch for Truly Scrumptious Challenge #2:

Here are the complete details of my card:
I made one of my buttons by using an old sizzlit I've had in my stash for a while. I just used a sheet of coordinating paper and then pop dotted it for a 3d effect. :O) The other two buttons are Basic Grey.
Papers are Basic Grey-Bittersweet
Ribbon is CTMH
I made the fab faux stitching with my CTMH Simple Stitches stamp set...doesn't it look real??
I also sponged some chocolate ink here and there around edges....and I used my copic airbrush system to make the background for my image. I just love that airbrush thing..it's SOOOOO easy to use and I just love the effect!
The image is a digi from the Sketching Stamper and she's colored in with my copics.
I also added a bit of stickles here and there.

A side note on digi-images:
I have been using a few here and there and I must tell you I love them!
I open my images up in my photoshop so I can resize them.
Digi-images dn't take up any physical space in your craft room, you don't have to pay shipping, and you download them immediately!
I still live my stamps don't get me wrong...but digi-images are a lot of fun!
I print them off on the same cardstock I use for my copics and then I just let them dry for several minutes while I gather my other supplies.
I have a canon pixma printer and don't have any trouble with bleeding or feathering. :O)

Thanks for looking and have a great wednesday!
