Dottie's World Challenge...Sunshine!

This week over at Dottie's World Digital Challenges the theme is Sunshine...no problems there! The weather is wonderful here, and celebrating it is so necessary!

I used one of Dotties World's brand new Pixie from the Pixie Chicks collection...and I have to tell you I LOVE these pixies chicks...they are so adorable and fun to color in especially for the summer.
I used three different colors of Doodle Bug Sugar coating on the wings to get the multicolored look...I just love how it turned out. I just used my glue pen, covered the wings and then strategically added each color...sparingly.....does that make sense? lol But I do love how it turned out!
The Sentiment stamp is from the Close To My Heart stamp set-Ms.Gardener

Thanks for looking and have a fabby Sunday!

School Teacher Gifts

Each Box is filled with shredded paper, (I ran out of tissue so I just shredded some white paper...lol) individually wrapped chocolates and a gift card from Starbucks)
I cut out the rectangle on the tall boxes and then added a piece of transparency with glue dots to the inside....I just love how that turned out!

Okay so the last day of school isn't today...it's MONDAY??!! What is up with that?
lol.anyways, I made up all these little boxes for the kids teachers and one for the bus driver.
The kids were so excited to bring them to school!
I had made a few earlier in the month for the dance teachers and piano teacher but didn't get those photographed so I couldn't blog them but they were similar to these anyways.
I made these four all using paper from the same stack and colored the images with the same copics and used the same embellishments to keep it simple. I was still up until 11:30pm last night working on them so go figure!

Anyways, they were still so much fun to make!
I have told you how much I LOVE Lauren's Templates right?? They are so fun and easy to use and so economical....at $5.00 a template you can't go wrong!

I used K&Company "Wild Raspberry" paper and Close To My Heart Creme Brulee cardstock.
The paper flowers were from my LSS and the buttons were My Mind's Eye and retired CTMH
The ribbon is CTMH-Creme Brulee
Of course my images are Tilda's from Magnolia and they are colored in with copics...stamped on Canson Magna paper. The two Tilda's from the Spring 2009 collection (running Tilda and Tilda holding the Bee) are from my friend Kelly....thanks Kelly!
The sentiment stamps are CTMH
I also used several different nestie's as well...including the scallop rectangle frame....so fun and easy-maybe if I have time I'll make a tutorial on how to do that...it's so easy and fun to do!

Thanks for looking!
And have an awesome Friday!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #10

Happy Wednesday!
School is almost done! Yippee!
All of our extra activities are done....I finally have my weeknights back. I can't tell you how FREE I feel! Now I can spend lots of time working on my yard, house and of course blogging, stamping and scrapping!

Todays card is for the Truly Scrumptious #10 challenge.
Here is the fab sketch we are using:

I an addition to this fabby sketch you must use some of your old paper...some that has been in your stash...unused for a while.
Okay so this was easy for me because I went throught and organized al my paper on Monday. I sorted through it all and put it all in order. So when it came time to make my Design card I just pulled these sheets out...that I don't think I have EVER used but have had in my stash for years! lol...
It's not that I don't like this paper....I just can't seem to ever get it to work for me....
Anyways, after I added lots of Bling...it finally worked for me!
Here are the rest of the details for today's card:
Paper is CTMH-Sugar & Spice
Flowers are prima and kaiser
Bling is from my LSS & CTMH
Sentiment is CTMH-stamped in Petal ink
I colored Tilda in with my copics
Ribbon is CTMH
I punched the butterflies out with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Dottie's World Challenge...Christmas!

The challenge for this week over at Dottie's World is to make a Christmas card.....fun!
I used this super cute image of Dottie and her snowman...isn't she adorable?
The sentiment is also a Dottie's World digital down load...so easy peasy!
The paper is CTMH-Aspen.
Flowers are form my local Loonie (dollar) store
The sparkles and ribbon are CTMH
I also used my MS snowflake punch and my nesties.
I printed my Dottie World image onto Canson Magna paper (my favorite for digital downloads) and then I colored it in with my copics. I just love how well this paper blends....:O) And it works perfectly with my printer and copics!
Thanks for looking and make sure you head over to Dottie's World and join in the fun this week!

Happy Father's Day!

Another Sunday, another Dotties World Challenge
Lou wants us to make a Father's day card....yeah! Now I have my Father's day card done for my dad-a whole week ahead of schedule. :o)
I used a Dottie's World George image for this card...and I LOVE him! George is so adorable. And he is so much fun for guy cards...especially for cards for midilfe or "older" guys.
Paper and brads are CTMH, the buttons are SU!
Head over to Dottie's world and make a Father's Day card...it's really not very daunting at all when you use an adorable George image!

I printed my George image onto Canson Magna cardstock and colored him in with my copics. I also put a piece of my patterned paper through my printer and printed off a second copy of my George image and then cut out his shirt and glued it on with my glue pen. I didn't have a copic color to match with the red or blue green in the patterned paper so I thought this was just as fun!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Sunday!

Thinking of You-Truly Scrumptious #9

OKay so time is evidently flying by...will it ever slow down?
It's already Truly Scrumptious Challenge #9....wow!
Challenge 9 is a great sketch by the talented Beth...I have to tell you, I love this sketch! I don't usually do rectangle cards but I just love how this one turned out!
Here is the sketch:

The second part of the challenge is to alter one or more flowers....no problem! I LOVE adding flowers to my cards; and I always change them up a bit! I distressed these paper flowers, layered them and added brads.
This weeks sponsor is Whiff Of Joy...now who doesn't LOVE WOJ stamps?? So head over to Truly Scrumptious so you can play along with us and have the chance to win a WOJ stamp. :o)

Paper is Close To My Heart-Caprice
Image is WOJ, colored in with copics of course. ;O)
Flowers are punched and some are CTMH
Brads and ribbon are CTMH
The bookplate is CTMH, stamped with a CTMH sentiment stamp in chocolate ink
I also added some stickles...how predictable eh? lol

Thanks for looking and have a scrumptious Wednesday!

Life is Good-Dottie's World Challenge

So this is my second Dotties World Challenge designer card....and I must admit I almost didn't get it done in time! Our house was the sick house this past week. My daughter was sick first and then she gave it to my son and then I got sick! Oh yikes! It was bad. So I was struggling trying to get my card done and submitted by the deadline.
Anywho, I not to worry-I got it done and submitted on time. :o)
This weeks Dottie's world challenge was to make holes and do some distressing. Okay distressing-no problem! The holes....now that was a little bit trickier! lol
I used my bazzill stitches template and my eyelet hole punch to make the little flourish designs. Then I used my marker and connected the holes. Voila! Holes.

Here are the rest of the details for today's card:
Paper is My Mind's Eye-Just Blooms
Image is Holly on the High Street...of course from Dottie's World
Brads are from my LSS and the ribbon is CTMH
I also added a bit of stickles here and there. I used my CM tag punch to make the tag and the sentiment stamp is CTMH.
The large chip board flower is also CTMH.
I sponged a bit of CTMH Bamboo ink here and there for some distressing.
It's hard to see but I also used my mini scallop punch by EKSuccess. The scallops have little holes in them...so super cute.

Just as a side note:
I was actually having some bleeding trouble while trying to color in my image with copics today. Not sure why....maybe it's the weather...it's snowing...yes snowing here today so I was thinking maybe the humidity was effecting my copics....
So I switched from my Wausau bright white cardstock to my Canson Manga cardstock and low and behold it worked awesome! No bleeding at all! And the blending was so flawless!
So if you are having trouble with bleeding and your digital images-try Canson Magna cardstock.

Thanks for looking and have a fab Sunday.

Thank Ewe-Sketch Saturday#53

So I finally "stole" some time this weekend to stamp, and was able to get several cards done. I scheduled a few cards to be posted since Saturday...yippee-I'm actually ahead! I was even able to participate in the Sketch Saturday this week. It seems like forever since the last time I did a Sketch Saturday or a Friday Sketchers challenge. Okay so I'll admit my house is a mess and I have several loads of laundry WAITING for me! lol ...but it was worth it!
Anyways, here is this weeks sketch #53:

What a fun sketch!
Here are the complete details for my card:
The patterned paper is Doodlebug designs.....don't they just make the CUTEST paper??
I also used some CTMH-Chocolate CS
The sentiment plate is from my LSS-I've had it for a couple of years now and have since lost the original packaging so I'm not sure of the company.
The stamp is High Hopes
The sentiment is CTMH
The paper flower is bazzill
Brads are also from my LSS

By the way, I was going to do the whole...."Thank Ewe" but I decided last minute not too....it's so predictable. :o)

Have an awesome MONday.
