TRuly Scrumptious Challenge #19-Sketch & Recipe

Hello and welcome back to another Truly Scrumptious challenge! I missed last week and didn't want to miss another week so I got this card done several days ago. Felt good to get it done early.
The TS Challenge #19 is a sketch and recipe. Here is the fabby sketch:

Of course I tweaked it into a 6x6. :o)
The recipe is as follows:
3 flowers/3 rhinestones/3 brads
Easy Peasy!
I must tell you that I LOVE this card. I just love how it turned out...but it really didn't photograph very well...the picture really doesn't do it justice. Oh well. :o}

I used my absolutely favorite Holiday paper this year-Basic Grey:Eskimo Kisses. Even the name is down right adorable!
The image is Edwin and Tilda skating...I just love this image to pieces
I colored in the image with my copics
The sentiment stamp is Close To My Heart, I also added some stickles to the sentiment to make it pop a bit.
I used my rectangle nesties and my snowflake shapeabilites both by spellbinders. I airbrushed the snowflakes
I also added some Prima Bling flourishes
Now to explain how I used the recipe:
I used SU! Sparkle Brads-Rhinestones and Brads in one! :o)
I also decided to use snowflakes instead of flowers....cause snowflakes are like winter flowers right? hehe

Make sure you check out the TS challenge blog to see what the other designer's came up with; and have a fabby Wednesday!

Dottie's World Challenge-Child's Play

Hello and Happy Sunday! Another Sunday...another Dottie's World Challenge, ;o)
This week Lou wants us to make a card for a child. I decided to make a card for my daughter Emily for her 10th birthday..yes it was last month but things were so crazy I didn't get a chance to make her a card.
I used a Charmed Download of course-A Pixie Chick from the Pixie set #2-Rose Bud.
I snuck out of the house bright and early Saturday morning so I could make it to my LSS, they were having a huge 20% off your entire order today. Yummy! So I got the brand new Basic Grey-Nook and Pantry...love it! I used it on today's card and I must tell you it is some yummy!
Of course I also got the matching buttons-which I used on my card today as well...and some MORE Prima bling!
I was also able to get two new nestie sets that I used on today's card-Labels 8 and Shapeabilities-Flower Creations.
I love this new nestie label 8-it includes larger sizes-perfect for many of my people stamps.
The Flower Creations set is also awesome! I made these cool flowers with them today. I am just in LOVE with them!

Be sure to check out Dottie's World to see what all the other designer's came up with for this challenge! And have a relaxing day today...you deserve it!

The felt snowflakes are also Close To My Heart-I adhered them with a couple of dots of liquid glass. The ribbon is also CTMH, and the buttons are Making Memories.
The sentiment is CTMH from the Just For The Holidays stamp set.

Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #2

Hello and Happy Wednesday. :o) I'm so glad we are almost half way through the week-I am sooooo looking forward to the weekend. Not that we are doing anything special-but at least we can sleep in.
I made today's card with my brand new stamp Charlotte from Kraftin' Kimmie's new stamp collection. OMG! I just love this stamp. Miss Charlotte is so sweet holding her baby dolls and her HAIR is so much fun to color in!
Kimmie's challenge for this week is to use buttons.....HELLO? I LOVE adding buttons to my cards!
I colored in Miss Charlotte with my copics and added a bit of stickles here and there for interest. The paper is from BoBunny-Kitchen Spice-I promise to lay of this collection for a bit after today-I'm sure you all have seen enough of it. :o)

Anyways, I also used lots of Prima bling. I added CTMH sparkles to my scalloped border that I created using my SU! punch. I also used a Martha Stewart border punch and three different types of nesties. The buttons are BoBunny and the ribbon is CTMH.

I think that's pretty much it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabby day!

Mo's Digital Challenge #2

Hello. :o) Happy Tuesday.
I created today's card for Mo's Digital Challenge #2.
The challenge is to use one of Mo's digital images...no challenge there! And also to use fall colors...no problem there....and the big challenge for me...to use less than three embellishments.....hmhmhmhmh now that's a challenge! I LOVE adding bling/flowers/brads...anything big and fancy to my cards!
But I actually like the way this card turned out-I only added ribbon. :o} Subtle but effective.
I colored in this adorable image with my copics and added some doodlebug sugar coating here and there for interest. The paper is from BoBunny-Kitchen Spice. :o}

Thanks for stopping by today and have a super day!

Dottie's World Challenge-Fall Inspiration!

Hello and Happy Sunday...yes I have returned from the dead.....well thats what the last couple of weeks have felt like.....how can it be possible to get the stomach bug twice...yes the stomach bug is so evil that it decided to return for a repeat adventure in my house....where there lives five children! The stomach bug had a huge non-stop party in my house and almost killed me....
But I lived....and am here to share another hand made card.
Thank goodness for immune systems.

This week Gunn is hosting the Dottie's World Challenge and she wants us to make Fall cards...so you need to use fall colors for sure. She also added that the use of GOLD would be good too!
Well, I forgot all about the gold until my card was posted...so....anyways. :o}

For my card I used an image from the Holly & Madison Collection called: Madison So Chic
I printed the image off onto Artist Marker Pad paper-from the BEE company. It's a new paper I found at my local Artist store. It's light-110lbs.-perfect for cutting images out-and it does NOT bleed at all. But it doesn't work that great with stickles....but I do like it a lot because it has a very smooth surface-I haven't tried it for stamping yet.
This what it looks like:

The paper I used is BoBunny-Kitchen Spice. The fowers, buttons and brads are also from the same collection. The bling is from Walmart...yup walmart. ;o} The tab punch is SU! The sentiment "Celebrate" is CTMH-Fringed Phrases. The "Fall" is stamped with The CTMH Chocolate Alphabet. I made the tag with my cricut.
I also used one of my MS-border punches and curvy rectangle nestie.
I also airbrushed the background with my copic airbrush system and air compressor-have I mentioned how much I LOVE my air brush system??? :o}

Thank you for stopping by today and make sure you check out the Dottie's World Challenge blog so you can see what the other designer's came up with!

bye for now,

Dottie's World Challenge-Halloween-ish

Hello and Happy Sunday. ;O)
If you are canadian you are probably getting ready to roast your turkey...because it is the thanksgiving weekend this weekend..oh I LOVE turkey!
It's also another great week at the Dottie's World Challenge blog this weekend...and I am the hostess this week.
{blushing...}
I decided to do the predictable and ask for Halloween themed cards. It doesn't have to be Halloween completely-you can just use Halloween colors if you are opposed to the Halloween thing. :o) But you must use a Charmed Downloadable.
Here are the complete details for my card:
I used the kneeling Cornflower Pixie Chick from the #2 collection, you can see it here
I colored her in with my copics...of course. I also added some doodlebug sugar coating in purple and green...LOVE that stuff-it's such a fine glitter-I use my glue pen to adhere it. I even added a touch of it to her eye lid for eye shadow.
I also made a mask of the image...by making two copies on my printer; one on Manga Cardstock and the other on paper :o) I cut out the paper image and then attached it with some temporary adhesive (tombow) over top of my cardstock image and then used my copic airbrush system to airbrush the background.

I printed my image first and then I used my nesties to cut out the curved square shape.
The paper is K&Company
Flowers are Prima
Filigrees & Brads are SU...thanks to my friend Shelly who is a SU! demonstrator!
Black ribbon is CTMH
Gingham ribbon is from walmart
That's about it!
Make sure you check out DW Challenge blog to see what all my talented co-designer's came up with.
and.........

Friday Sketchers #73

I actually found some more time to stamp...well my house is really suffering but it's all worth it right?
I made tis card for this week's friday sketchers...I haven't completed one of those in a LOOOONG time!
Here is the sketch:
I recently purchased 250 6x6 envelopes so every card I make MUST be 6x6. :o) So I had to alter the sketch a tad.
Tilda is another image from my Fall Kit-isn't she just so sweet sitting there with her little necklace and high ponty tail?
Paper is BoBunny-Kitchen Spice...and so are the brads & brown sparkles
I made this flowers with my sizzix layered flower die.
The sentiment is Close To My Heart-Annotations
The bling is Prima
I also distressed everything with some CTMH Chocolate ink with my little dauber.
I added some distress stickles to Tilda's necklace and bracelet
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabby Saturday!

Seize The Cupcake!

Hello and Happy Friday. ;o)
Things have been very busy around here....I've been working part time for my husband doing some book work and I took on homeschooling too this year for my three youngest. Then my mom went on holidays for two weeks and asked me to do her payroll while she is away....well, needless to say I was craving some "real" time alone in my scrap room!
As soon as I finished the work for my mom I snuck into my scraproom.... I hope to sneak in a few more cards this weekend.
Anywho....I LOVE this card and am so excited to share it with you.

The papers I used are BoBunny -Kitchen Spice. I LOVE this paper! The flowers, brads and buttons are also from the same collection....gotta have the matching embellies!
The Tilda stamp is from my fall kit-Yummy in my Tummy. You gotta love Tilda with her huge wooden spoon! I colored her in with my copics and I also airbrushed the background. I cut Tilda out and pop dotted her.

The sentiment and cupcake are....unknown...maybe hero arts. The sentiment is stamped on another Magnolia image from my fall kit.
I added some stickles here and there for extra sparkle
The ribbon is Close To My Heart and the bling is Prima.
I used the sketch from last week's Friday Sketchers.....I was a day too late to enter it but I still wanted to post it. Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great stamp filled weekend!
