For You

So here it is...
My husband has taken the children with him while he runs some errands....leaving me here alone so I can do my quick books work that he wants done by the time he gets home.....and here I am in my craft room making cards! I just can't help it!
Anyways, I'm just going to post this card really quickly and get to work! :O)
The details for this card are pretty much the same as the last except for the flowers which are primas.
I also used my nifty nesties.
I used the sketch from this weeks HH challenge # 9...but I didn't use HH stamps so I didn't enter it....
here is the sketch:
[1Sketch.jpg]

By the way, picking up pictures, dragging them and dropping them with my mac rocks!!!
This is so easy! No copying and pasting!
Thanks for looking.

Sweet Kisses

Here is another Magnolia card....kissing Edwin and Tilda. :O)
I really wish I had a good sentiment stamp to go with this set...like "Sweet Kisses" or "First Kiss" or something clever but Hello was the best I could find!

Anyways, Here are today's card details:
Paper: CTMH-Magic Moments (ah ha that would be a good sentiment stamp for this card: "Magic Moments")
Colors: CTMH-Sweet Leaf/Indian Corn Blue/Hollyhock/Sunflower/Cocoa
Brads and Ribbon are CTMH
I colored in Tilda and Edwin with my copic markers.

Thanks for looking!

Here's the Scoop

I wanted to try something a bit different today. :O)
I decided to challenge myself by not using any patterned paper.
I am a self-professed patterned paper-holic! Which is not a bad thing but it's good to occasionally step out of your comfort zone right?
You can't really see the sentiment stamp but it's there on the right side of the image. It's a watermark, and it says "Here's the Scoop!"

Here are the details:
Stamps: MFT-Here's the Scoop
Colors: Hollyhock/Creme Bruele
Technique: Copic markers
Brads/Buttons/Ribbon: CTMH
I used a couple of my cuttlebug embossing folders-gotta love those!

Also, I wanted to share with you...
my husband has been in Hong Kong for the past week and he found some copics for me...they are a bit cheaper around $5.00 cnd and no shipping. :O)
I'm so excited! He was able to get me 15 of the 18 colors I aksed for! Yippee! And he is due to arrive in Calgary this afternoon!

Celebrate for HH Challenge #7

I originally meant to use a Tilda stamp for this card, but she wouldn't fit into the rectangle I made using my nesties...and I really wanted to use my new rectangle nesties!
So I searched through my stash and found the little birds and cat.
The card appears so cute and sweet and happy, but is the scene a bit sinister.....

I'll leave a link back to the High Hopes stamp site-they really have the cutest stamps out there! And they are a great canadian company! :O)

Ciao Bella

I must start off by saying I love this stamp-:O)

Then I have to rant a bit....I went out last night and bought 7 more copics...to match with the new line of Imaginisce paper...."Fairest Of Them All"
when I got home and started coloring with my copics I couldn't get any of the colors to match with the paper!!! What is up with that? I have 23 copics, and I can barely get any of them to match with any paper I own-and I own a lot of paper!!!

High Hopes Challenge #2

Okay so I pulled out my copics again-wow I do just love my copics! The only problem is that I don't have enough of them-and the colors I do have don't really match with any paper that I have.
So I decided to try and make my own paper-and it worked out great!
I randomly stamped and then colored in with my copics to make my patterned paper; and then used the same colors to color in Tilda! :o)
And then when I completed the card I realized it had blue/green/brown and a neutral-thus qualifying for HHC2-Yippee!
Here are the details:
Stamp: Magnolia/CTMH Friendship Blessings

BTW, as a side note-I bought some watercolor paper from walmart, bc I thought all watercolor paper was the same; evidently not! I'm not happy with how tilda's face turned out and was afraid to add cheek color....o she's looks slightly sickly....But I just worked so hard on her clothes and am so happy with the way that turned out that I decided to still post it. :O)
I'm off to Michael's to find my first brand of watercolor paper I bought-it worked great!
I hope I can still remember what the brand was!! lol
What brand do you use?

Thanks for looking. ;O)

Namaste

So I'm in my craft room-DH brought the four kids swimming-I'm here with my youngest and he's napping.....aaaahhhhh-there is no better way to craft-in silence. :O)
Here is another card using MFT Serenity Things stamp set. This card is super simple.
I used copics this time. (Eoo/E11/Y21/E37)
The thing with copics is that you need two or three colors in the same number family in order to do any shading-I did not know this! So I really need to order some more copics....hmhmhm I think I need a job now!
Anyways, I still love my copics and am willing to invest in them bc they are so awesome!
Here are my card details:
Paper: K&Company
CS: CTMH Olive
Flower: Kaiser
Metal flower is from my LSS
Brads are doodlebug-not my favorite by the way-they really bend out of shape when you try to insert them...not good!

First try with copics.....

Okay so Kimmie is one of my hugest inspirations for using copics. She does beautiful work and she is very knowledgeable.  I took her advice and bought some wausau cardstock (bright white) -I got mine at Walmart. Kim also uses memento ink to stamp her images so I tracked that down too. And they do work beautifully with copics. I can blend easily and the image does not bleed. Thanks Kim!
This is my first try-I only stamped half the magnolia image and am not sure if I have CS to match the colors I bought but I wanted to post it anyways. It's not perfect but it turned out way better than I thought it would.  It kinda "stained" a bit...on tilda's apron, not sure why..maybe over blending???
I also wanted to note that I got sketch markers.
TFL>
I'll try and get a card done tonight, I just have to search thru my stash for paper/CS to match the copic colors I bought.

I also wanted to tell you about some HEE HAW blog candy over at Michelleo's blog. Her blog is so cute and she has some fabulous blog candy she wants to give away!

I'm so excited I can't wait to try them out!
AS soon as I get a card together, using my brand new copics-I'll post a picture!

Glam Girl

I've had this stamp for a long time but have had a lot of trouble with it for some reason...
Anyways, I figured the best way to show case this glam girl was to use a simple patterned paper. One that was more graphic than floral...does that make sense?
Here are the details:
stamp: Glam Girl C.C Designs
Paper: another sheet from my never ending K&Company stack from costco-I think I need to retire this stack for a while and use something, anything else! lol
I also used Sweet Leaf and Orchid CTMH CS
I paper pieced her clothes
Colored in all other parts with CTMH markers
Added doodle bug sugar coating to her shades.
Bling is CTMH
Sentiment is MFT
Ribbon is SU!
I made the flowers on my cricut-geesh I resurrected my bug!

My Plan...

Okay so I know you want to see a card but I wanted to share with you my plan-which I'm sure most of you do this already but it hadn't  occurred  to me until last night!
So after my kiddies were all tucked in and sleeping-I took out my basket of cling stamps and started stamping-no pressure just the images. For me because I have five children and two are still at home with me-I usually only get to "steal" a bit of time here and there. So now I canjust grab my already stamped image and go to town! Plus there are a lot of stamps in here that I totally forgot about!
Anyways, I plan on getting a lot of cards done this week now!
I'll post a card later.
Leave a comment with a tip you use to save time....
see you later!

What's Up Cupcake?

So here is a quickie-I really need to entertain the kiddies-they are going a bit stir crazy so I can't spend the whole day in my scrap room!
I made this card and it just needed something so I hope Cindy Haffner doesn't mind me using her "dot" technique. It really is her signature.  She's an amazing artist and my work will never compare to hers.....
Anyways here are the details:
Stamp Set: MFT
Colors CTMH: Sorbet/Tulip
I colored in the image with ink from the pad
Doodlebug sugar coating white sparkles

Just Clowning Around-Friday Sketchers Challenge #20

Wow! I can't believe it's friday already...and friday afternoon at that!
The one good thing about fridays is Friday Sketchers!   One of my favorite sketch challenge blogs!
So todays card is this weeks sketch.
I colored the images in with my CTMH markers and my waterbrush. I'm so glad this is possible bc all I have is CTMH CS an sometimes it can be tough finding the perfect watercolor pencil to match.
I made this card for my nephew-sorry about the flower Bruin but it's so hard for me to not include at least one flower in every card/layout I create! ;O)
Paper is from my never ending K&Company stack from Costco.
CTMH CS: Cocoa/Sweet Leaf and Crystal Blue
Buttons and Waxy flax are CTMH
Stamps are High Hopes
Flower is from my LSS.
Thanks for looking!
