Lean On Me

So I was actually able to make a card just because. :o)
It seems like I don't have time to make cards this summer...It's even been tough getting my design team cards done! It's so nice out and the kids are always wanting me to get out and do stuff.....which is totally okay!
Anyways, I made this card for my sister..I haven't given it to her yet...I'm going to give it to her when she goes back home after a month long visit.

Here are the complete details:
Paper is Basic Grey-Lemonade, the brads are as well.
The image is Magnolia colored in with copics, the wings are dusted with doodle bug sugar coating
The bling, ribbon and charm are CTMH
The sentiment is also CTMH-Friendship Puzzle...stamped in Twilight and Blush inks
I made the flowers with my Dahlia nesties.....after I made the cuts I just crumpled up the flowers and then straightened then out....I like the look a lot and got the idea from Yvette from Just Ducky....she's so super talented and I love her blog! Her flowers are so pretty...they really inspired me to try something different today. :o)

Thanks for looking and have a super Tuesday!

Razzle Dazzle-Dottie's World Challenge

Another Sunday, another exciting, fun Dottie's World Challenge! :o)
This week Adele wants us to add some bling to our card, along with a Dottie's World dowloadable.
I must tell you all again how much I LOVE downloadables. They are so much fun to play with. You can resize them and even combine images before you print them..no more masking or paper peicing! Yeah! And you don't need a fancy software to do that. Just open your images in word and play around with them. I have a mac, and I also have adobe photoshop; so I play with my images in photoshop.

Okay so back to today's card...
I used some brand new paper called Lemonade from Basi Grey....I wasn't going to buy this paper, or any more paper for that matter (because I have way too much paper!)....but I just couldn't resist. I lOVE this paper, it's so pretty and perfectly summery...:o)
The brads and bling are also basic grey...okay i went a bit crazy at the scrapstore the other day.
The ribbon is CTMH
The flowers are bazzill
The little circle sentiment stamp is CTMH-Sensational Seals and I stamped it in CTMH-Juniper.
I printed my Holly in the Garden onto my favorite paper for downlaodables....Canson Magna and then I colored her in with my copics...of course! I also used my air brush system and while the image was still in the nestie I air brushed it. I just LOVE that look. I'm hoping to get a mini air compressor for my birthday next month...my fingers are officially crossed.
I also used one of my latest Martha Stewart Border punches.

I also must confess that the idea for this card came from a very talented fellow blogger Nicole...I know awesome name right?? :o)
But really you should check out her blog she makes BEAUTIFUL cards that truly insprire me. :

Thank you for looking and have a super day, and don't forget to check out Dottie's World for all the other designer's cards!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #12

Hello! I trust everyone is enjoying the summer...the summer really should be at least three months. :o)
I was away last week and so I missed The Truly Scrumptious Challenge #11 but I am back this week for challenge #12.
The very talented Heather provided us with a sketch this week. Here it is:
In addition Heather wants us to use beads on our card somewhere....wow did I have to dig around for some beads. But I kinda missed these old beads and was glad to be able to use them again and I think they added even more to my crazy, bright card!

Okay and here is my card.

The paper I used was from the 75%off section of my LSS. It's K&Company-Citronella Collection. I also used some CTMH-Tulip & Sunflower cardstock.
The beads are retired CTMH
The flowers are retired Making Memories-some are plastic and some are paper
The chipboard flower and frame are CTMH
I covered the chipboard flower with cardstock and then random stamped it
I used my brand new Martha Stewart border punch
My magnolia stamp-Tilda is from the brand new summer kit and I colored her in with my copics.....did I tell you I am going for my copic certification this August??/I'm so excited!

I think that's it.
Thanks for looking and make sure you head over to the Truly Scrumptious blog to check out all the other designer's cards!
