Truly Scrumptious Challenge # 29-Fly Away

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Wow.....it's almost Easter already? Time is sure flying by. :o)
This week we have a fabby sketch for the Truly Scrumptious challenge, and we also have the added, optional challenge of adding the theme "fly away"
So here is the sketch:
I used a super cute Tilda holding a bee image...I got her from The Magnolia-licious Store...and I just LOVE her! I colored her in with my copics. copics I used for her clothes are here:(r81/83/85; bg11/32/34; e40/41/42/43/44)
The paper is CratePaper:Paper Dolls, and so are the brads and stickers.
The butterflies are Martha Stewart.
The sentiment are Close To My Heart: Card Chatter.
I also used some doodlebug chunky glitter on the bee's wings.
I think that's about it!
Have a fabby day!

Dottie's World-Handmade Flowers

Hello and Happy Sunday... once again. I missed the last couple of Dottie's World challenges because I was in Oklahoma with my sister, and just couldn't pull it together to get my cards done before I left. No matter how organized I try to get, I always feel DiSOrgaNized! :o)
Anyways, this week at Dottie's World Adele is hosting the challenge. This is what she asked for:

"Hi everyone, Adele here and it's my turn to set the challenge this week. With spring (hopefully) in the air I want you to think:
Paper Roses...............
or daffs, or tulips....you get the picture? BUT I don't want to see any pre-made flowers please - only die cuts, punched flowers or any flower/s you have made from scratch on your creations this week please. The only other limitation is that a Charmed Download MUST be used....but that is no limitation at all is it, there is so much to choose from! LOL
Don't forget the blog candy over on my own blog too.....it could be you who wins yourself a freebie Charmed Download of your choice!
Looking forward to seeing all your bloomers!!!!!!"

I made my flower by using the Sizzix Layered Flowers Die. I just cut it a couple of times with different papers and then crumpled up the flowers so they would have some dimension.
LOVED this challenge-so much fun!
I also love Digi-images. :o) I love being able to make the images any size I wish. The possibilities become endless. For this card I used Madison In France and you can get her HERE
I cropped her and made her bigger than usual and I just love the result!
I colored her in with my copics (bg11/bg32/bg34 gy03/gy13 and my pink favorites: r81/r83/r85)
I also used my glue pen to add some White Prisma Glitter to her French Tam.
The paper is BRAND SPANKIN' NEW! It's Crate Paper: Paper Doll Collection and it is adorable. It comes in a kit that includes lots of double sided matching paper and two sheets of coordinating stickers! LOVE it!
The sentiment "love you much" is SU! and you can get it HERE
I free handed the "babe" hate my hand writing, but was too lazy to get my alphabet stamps out!
I think that's about all for now.
The weather is starting to get nice and the green grass is slowly started to peak through...aaahhhhh spring at last! :o)

By for now!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #28-Quilted Background

Hello and Happy Wednesday. :o)
I made this card last week for this week's Truly Scrumptious challenge #28.
I'm actually in Oklahoma this week with my sister...she's on spring break.
This week's challenge is another fabby sketch, with the added challenge of a quilted background. I really wanted to machine stitch each square but I'm having problems with my swing machine. :o(
Here is the fabby sketch:

The paper is brand new from Close To My Heart-Top Stitched. Isn't is adorable? Ribbon is Heavenly Blue CTMH.
The image and sentiment stamps are also Close To My Heart. The paper flowers are also brand new and Close To My Heart. Love them!
The bling is Prima and the fabby felt flowers are SU!

I think thats about it for now. Make sure you head over to the TS blog to see what all the other designer's came up with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dottie's World Challenge-Pastel or Bright

Hello and Happy Sunday!
This week at Dottie's World Adele is hosting and she wants us to either go pastel colors or bright colors....and of course use a Charmed Download.
I knew right away that I was going to use this new paper from My Mind's Eye! I LOVE this new paper collection-Quite Contrary.. the only thing that bugs me is that there are virtually no solid sheets....and I couldn't find ANY CS to match with it; which make layering really challenging. But besides that....I love this paper-it's so cute and fun-and so fresh and springy-exactly what I feel like right now. :o}

I used the "Windy Day" Charmed Download from the Sugar & Spice collection-and you can get it HERE. I colored the image in with my copics. The R20's match really nicely with this paper. I used a combination of R20/R22/R24 & R27 for the red/pink colors.
I used my fave glitter on the kite-Doodlebug Chunky Glitter, I also added a bit of star dust stickles to the kite ribbons.

Make sure you check out the Dottie's World Challenge blog to see what the other designer's created. Also, Adele is offering some blog candy that is tied in with this week's challenge...so make sure you pop on over there to check it out....HERE

I think that's about it for now.
I'm going to Oklahoma to visit with my sister next week-for a week; so I'm hoping to get all my design work done and my blog posts scheduled so I don't have to miss any challenges.

Happy Stamping!

TRuly Scrumptious Challenge #27-Good Enough to Eat!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
This week for the Truly Scrumptious Challenge #27, we have a yummy sketch, by the talented Dawn and the added challenge of "good enough to eat!"
Easy peasy! I LOVE adding cupcakes and cakes to my cards!
First here is the sketch for this challenge:

I used one of my old time faves-Giggling Tilda. You can get her from Magnolia-licious.
The paper and ric rac are brand new My Mind's Eye-Quite Contrary. Yummy!
The pearl flourishes are Basic Grey
Half back pearls and crochet flowers are CTMH

The cake plate, cupcake and sentiment are Darcie stamps. So yummy and fun!
I first stamped Tilda, and then I made a mask of her and then stamped the cake plate over part of Tilda {with the mask firmly in place with repositional tombow adhesive}
Then I used the out of the box technique with my nesties so Tilda's sweet head can pop up above the frame.
I also airbrushed the backgrounds. So fun!

Make sure you pop on over to the Truly Scrumptious blog to see what the other designer's created!
Thanks for stopping by today!
