Truly Scrumptious Challenge #17-Doodles

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
Well, I've had a crazy last few days!
We have suffered a small dose of the flu here-well 3 of four of us anyways. So I was out of commission yesterday...but not to worry I had my TS #17 challenge all done and ready to post on Sunday...:o)
Until this morning when I realized I hadn't completed it right!! lol
Our sponsor for this week is the Sketching Stamper; and she very generously gave all of us designer's some brand new images to use on this challenge....:o) Well, to make a long story short I had to redo my whole card and redo my whole post......hhhmmmmm
So I was busy busy busy trying to get it finished on time!
The very awesome Sharon hosted this challenge and she created this gorgeous sketch for us to use:

She also wants us to add some doodling....yikes! I'm terrible with my free hand!
I'm not very happy with how my doodling turned out but oh well!

I used one of the beautiful images that the Sketching Stamper gave us. It reminds me of my two older daughters.
I colored in the image with copics. I colored in the blonde girl's shirt with BG72 and then shaded with BG75 and then I took my blender pen and made the diagonal check design-LOVE that technique! I really love how my coloring turned out on this image.

I made the paper flowers with my sizzix-thanks to the inspiration from my fellow TS designer Michele. ;o)
I also airbrushed around my images...LOVE that look!
The sentiments are all Close To My Heart
The paper is Jingle Bells by Close To My Heart

Okay so I didn't just want to leave my original card on my desk collecting dust...so here it is. ;o) Enjoy.....

Paper: Close To My Heart -Grace
Image: Magnolia-Fall 2009 Kit
Ribbon and Doodle stamps are Close To My Heart
I airbrushed the paper flowers (they were originally white) with four different colors
The leaves are made using my cricut and are also airbrushed
The sentiments are Close To My Heart

Dottie's World Challenge-Charmed I'm Sure!

This week at Dottie's World the challenge is called "Charmed I'm sure". What a fun challenge! I've never used a charm on my cards before; so this challenge was a lot of fun for me! :o)
My bloggin' friend Kelly sent me some charms a month ago so I finally got the chance to use them!
I also used a charmed download-from the Holly & Madison World Tour collection. Love that collection. :o)
I colored her in with my copics of course.

I used some brand new Basic Grey paper-Eskimo Kisses-OMG! I LOVE this paper! It is so wintery and so very pretty! I also added a Basic Grey flourish bling and Close To My Heart ribbon
Above is a close up of my snowflake charm-I added some jump rings and then attached it to a sparkle brad. I learned this from Bev's blog...so informative and inspirational!
I made the snowflakes with my new snowflake nesties. I airbrushed them while they were still in the dies-that's how the edges stayed white.
I made a mask of the image and then attached it over top of the colored image with temporary adhesive; and then I airbrushed the blue background.
The sentiment is Close To My Heart stamped in Petal ink

Thanks for looking and make sure you check out the Dottie's World Challenge blog to see what the other designer's came up with. :o)

Dottie's World Challenge-More Than Words

Hello and Happy Sunday. ;o)
This weekend we are just hanging around the house-I'm trying to get caught up on my design work and get my homeschooling ed. plan completed, and the kids are playing with friends...tonight we'll do a family video on demand and eat chips and drink pop! You gotta do that every once in a while!
This week's challenge at Dottie's World is "More Than Words". Louise wants us to include a full verse into our creation....yikes!
Well I decided to do another DW-Pixie-I just love those Pixie Chicks!
For my "words" I used one of the Pixie sentiment downloads. I hope Louise is okay with this as my "verse"....:o)
Paper is My Mind's Eye-Ooh LaLa.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us this week at DW!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #16

Hello and happy Wednesday!
I can't believe it is another Truly Scrumptious challenge again! Wow!
Anywho, this weeks TS challenge is a fabby sketch by Heather. And Heather also wants us to use three or more stamps on our card...not including a sentiment. :o)
What a fun challenge!
Here is Heather's Sketch:

What a fabby sketch :o)
So I was going to stamp a Tilda or two and add in a stamped tree or house...but I decided to do something different. I decided to use three different stamps and make my own patterned paper. I stamped two flower stamps, that I colored in with my copics and then I also stamped the "rings" in chocolate ink. I also stamped my Tilda and colored her in with my copics.
I used my airbrush system to color in the flower that Tilda is standing against
Cardstock is Close To My Heart-Buttercup/Chocolate
Flowers are Bazzill
Chipboard buttons and Ribbon are also Close To My Heart

Tilda is colored in with copics
The paper I used is Citrus-K&Company
The flowers are prima and the buttons are CTMH
The little dragonflys are from my bloggin' friend, and creator of The Truly Scrumptious Challenge blog... Sharon-thanks Sharon!

Dottie's World Challenge-A Sketch by Gunn

OKay so this weeks challenge at Dottie's World is hosted by Gunn. She has made a fabby sketch and she also wants us to include an image of an animal....yikes....do I have any animal images? :o)
Yup I do-this cute little reindeer from the Charmed Christmas collection.
Here is the sketch Gunn created:

Now there are a lot of elements to this sketch and I did leave out a couple...but it still looks great and I love it!
Here are the complete details:
Images are Charmed of course. :o) From the Holly & Madison World Tour and Charmed Christmas collections. They are colored in with copics. :o)
The paper is brand new from Close To My Heart
The snowflakes are made using my brand new Spellbinders-Snowflake Nesties. I left them in the die and then airbrushed them with my finally arrived .....brand new.....birthday present....Copic Airbrush System which includes an Air Compressor!!!! Yes and it was so much fun, and so easy to use-I LOVE it.
Here is a close up of my copic work...

I also used some filigrees and sparkle brads from SU!. And the sentiment is also a charmed download. So easy and so much fun to use.
And above is a close up of the snowflake. I just love these new nesties-so very cute and fun!
Make sure you check out DW to see what the other designers came up with for this fabby challenge and I hope you get a chance to play along with us this week too!

Dottie's World Challenge-New Arrival

So it's my turn to host Dottie's Challenge, and I decided to do a new baby theme. :o) It seems like everyone around here is pregnant or has a new baby...I have lots of cards to make over the next few months.
Make sure you check out the Dottie's Challenge blog to see what the other talented designers came up with, and enter our challenge too-I'd love to see what you come up with too.

Now onto my card.
I decided to do a non-traditional baby card. The colors and papers aren't the usual baby type but I love how it turned out...it's still so super adorable! :O)
I used some brand new just released paper from Close To My Heart called Twitter Pattered-LOVE this paper it is so darn adorable.
The buttons are chip board and are from the same collection.
The sentiment is also CTMH-Sweet Baby, and it is stamped in sweet leaf
Ribbon is SU!
The image is of course a Charmed Download-Dottie's Love and Marriage; colored in with my awesome copics.

Thanks for looking and have a super Sunday!

Another Post this week!;o)

Wow I can't believe I was able to make another card this week! Where did I find the time? :o)
Anywho...I did and here are the details for todays card:
Paper is DCWV-Citrus Stack
Filigree and crystal brads are SU!
Flowers are from my LSS
The metal flowers are from my bloggin' buddy Kelly
The sentiment is from Close To My Heart
The image is Magnolia and is from my copic buddy Michelle.

I must tell you that the orange on the umbrella is driving me crazy! lol My friend Michelle had stamped this image for me on her favorite CS which is different from the one I normally use. I love it-it works really nicely with copics but the colors turn out a bit different on this paper. Of course I colored in the umbrella last and when I realized it wasn't really a close match to the paper I was crushed...lol but it was the only copy I had of this adorable image, so I decided to just follow through and fisnish it anyways...... :o)

The other thing that was driving me crazy was my watermark....geesh I worked on it for at least 10 minutes and couldn't get it to work....so it's really tiny and red! lol

I also wanted to tell you....I was working on this card while my daughter (she's 5) was sitting beside me working on her card.
She said to me "why did you leave those spots white?" (pointing to Tilda's boots/umbrella and jacket) and I said "because that's where the sun shines on her jacket and her umbrella and shoes" and she replied: "mommy the sun doesn't shine in the rain" .....:o)

Oh well Thanks for looking and have a super day!
