Dottie's World Challenge-Be My Valentine

Hello and Happy Sunday!
This week I'm hosting the Dottie's World Challenge. I decided to do something fun for the upcoming holiday...Valentine's Day!
I want to see Valentine Day cards, along with a charmed download of course. :o)
I used this sweet image from the Dottie's Love and Marriage Collection, you can get it HERE.

I colored the image in with copic.
I also used my airbrush system for the background.
Paper is Basic Grey-Sugar Rush, so are the buttons, brads and die cuts.
The "Be Mine" sentiment is CTMH-stamped in Tulip.
I also added a bit of Prima Bling.

Make sure you head on over to the Dottie's World Challenge blog to see what the other designer's came up with.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabby Sunday!

Lots of fun stuff to play with!
Here is the sketch for this week's challenge:
Isn't is fabby?
Okay so on to my card. ;o)

I used some old paper-from the DCWV-Nana's Nursery stack.

I colored in the image with my copics.
The heart charm/buttons and ribbon are all from The Truly Scrumptious Crafts
The Congratulations sentiment is CTMH-stamped in Sweet Leaf ink
I also did machine stitching....I'm a tad bit rusty-haven't used my darn sewing machine in a while...but I do still love the look of machine stitching on cards.

Dottie's World Challenge-I can See Clearly now!

Hello and Happy Sunday!
This week the Dottie's World Challenge is hosted by the very sweet and talented Adele & she wants us to SEE CLEARLY :o)
She wants us to use some type of acetate on our cards.
I have a whole box of unused overhead projector pages that I used to use for work...you know-before .........Power Point!
Anyways, I dug them out of the back of my storage closet and was happy to put them to use once again!
I stamped some swirls (Magnolia background stamp)-with my SU! white stazon ink. Wow-when you get that pad inked up well-it works perfect! And it dries super fast!
And if you make a mistake you can clean off your acetate with some stazon cleaner. :o)

I had to make a card for an associate who just had a baby girl.....about 6 months ago. :oP.
Yeah I'm super late but she lives in Vancouver so I don't get to see her much.
I used one of Dottie's images form the Love and Marriage collection-you can get it HERE.
I colored in the sweet pea with my copics.
The sparkle brads are SU!
Paper is BoBUnny Love Bandit...love this new paper collection but I've been having trouble matching up my copic colors to it. :o(
The "congrats" sentiment is MFT
The "it's a girl" sentiment is CTMH....both stamped in CTMH Tulip ink
The name plate is CTMH
The ribbon is from Michael's Craft Store.

I think that's about it.
Make sure you check out the DW blog HERE to see what the other designer's came up with.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabby Sunday!

Dottie's World Challenge-Leaf It!

Hello and Happy Sunday!
It has been one crazy week...I just can't believe it is already Sunday..AGAIN!
Well it's another Dottie's World Challenge.
This week Lou is hosting and this is what she wants:

"Are you all tired of seeing cold bare trees? I sure am so this week I want you all to encourage spring to come early! I want to see leaves on your creations. They could be paper ones, fabric ones stamped or even real ones! The only other rule is that you use a Charmed download :) You have until next sunday to make your beautiful creations and leave us a link."

So I decided to make a card using one of my favorite Charmed Download Characters-Holly...well I'll take Holly or Madison any day! :o) They are both so sassy!
You can get Holly Hipster HERE

The paper is Basic Grey-Sugar Rush, so are the red brads.
The cut outs are also Basic Grey-Sugar Rush....gotta love those cardstock stickers that come in the Basic Grey paper kits! I used 6 different stickers on this card. So helpful when you are in a rush-and can't spend a lot of time stamping/cutting images out.

I think that's about it....make sure you check out Dottie's World Challenge Blog HERE to see what all the other designer's came up with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #24-All Sewn up!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!
So today's card is for this week's Truly Scrumptious challenge.
Sharon was so sweet to use the sketch I made for the challenge-plus she wants us to add some stitching.
Well, of course I encountered some technical difficulties with my stubborn 35 year old singer sewing machine....so I had to settle for faux stitching instead. Luckily Close To My Heart has an awesome "stitches" stamp set, that I totally LOVE!

Both images I used are Magnolia, and I got them from Magnolia-lici0us! The absolutely BEST place to get Magnolia stamps. Diana, the owner is so sweet and she really does offer the BEST service. A lot of other stamp companies cater to the design team...but Diane really makes her customers the focus. :o)
I colored in Giggling Tilda and the Kitchen Bench with my copics and then air brushed the background. I pop dotted the bench and Tilda.
The paper is BoBunny-Kitchen Spice and so are the buttons are flowers.
The bling is prima
The brads are CTMH
The sentiment is MFT, stamped is CTMH Cocoa ink
My faux stitching is below the sentiment; stamped in cocoa ink as well.
Oh and here is the sketch for the challenge:

Make sure you check out the other designer's cards HERE, and have a fabby day!

Dottie's World Challenge-Monochromatic

Hello & Happy Sunday. :o)
Another Sunday, another challenge at DW!
Gunn is the host the week, and she wants monochromatic-white.
Here is what she wanted:
It is my turn to deceide this week, and I tried to make an easy challenge this time. I want monochromatic and the color to use is WHITE - you can use from the lightest white to ivory and cream. And for a special extraI want you to use a small touch of the lightest brown. Your charmed ones is allowed to have skin and hair colors. A Charmed Download is a must, so don`t forget that one. Have fun with this one.
Gunn:-)
Gunn is just the sweetest-I just love playing along with her every week at DW. :o)
OKay so for my card I decided to use an older Charmed Download from the Holly & Madison collection, called Holly Pamper Time; and you can get it HERE. I plan to give this card with a gift card for a mani/pedi.
I colored Holly in with my copics.
The white and vanilla cardstock is CTMH and the beige patterned paper is BoBunny.

The paper flowers & bling are prima
Buttons are CTMH & SU!
The ribbon is from Michael's Craft Store
Brads are CTMH
I made the sentiment on my mac-geesh simpler than stamping. :o)

Well thanks for stopping by today and make sure you check out the DW challenge blog to see what the other designer's came up with!

Dottie's World Challenge-Sketch Challenge

Hello and Happy Sunday. :o)
This week I am hosting the Dottie's World Challenge, and I decided to do a sketch. :o)
Here is the sketch:

I was so excited when I finally figured out how to make a sketch on my mac.
It's a super easy sketch-a nice way to start the year!
I made this card for my mom and dad for their 42nd wedding anniversary on the 27th of the month....{whoops.... close your eyes mom! ...yup my mommy subscribes to my blog. :o)}
I used Dottie and Hubby from the Love and Marriage collection-you can get it HERE.
My dad wears glasses so I free handed a pair with my copic multiliner pen. An essential tool when working with copics. You can't use a normal marker when working with copics-you could get bleeding and you can't use a copic marker because it will blend in with your image. You need a marker that is water & copic proof. {when adding liner details to your images}

I colored in the image with my copics.
The paper is BoBunny-Flutter Butter and so are the buttons
The paper flowers are Bazzill
The crochet flowers and ribbon are CTMH
The sentiment is Kraftin' Kimmie's stamped in CTMH-cocoa
I also did a bit of distressing to help blend all the different patterned papers together-I used a dauber and desert sand CTMH ink.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will join us over at Dottie's World for this week's challenge. :o)
