Okay so Kimmie is one of my hugest inspirations for using copics. She does beautiful work and she is very knowledgeable. I took her advice and bought some wausau cardstock (bright white) -I got mine at Walmart. Kim also uses memento ink to stamp her images so I tracked that down too. And they do work beautifully with copics. I can blend easily and the image does not bleed. Thanks Kim!
This is my first try-I only stamped half the magnolia image and am not sure if I have CS to match the colors I bought but I wanted to post it anyways. It's not perfect but it turned out way better than I thought it would. It kinda "stained" a bit...on tilda's apron, not sure why..maybe over blending???
I also wanted to note that I got sketch markers.

I'll try and get a card done tonight, I just have to search thru my stash for paper/CS to match the copic colors I bought.
I also wanted to tell you about some HEE HAW blog candy over at Michelleo's blog. Her blog is so cute and she has some fabulous blog candy she wants to give away!

Congrats on getting some copics Nicole!! I think you image looks awesome!! I am just learning with them too, but I read on a website that the colorless blender does not really remove color it just pushes it outwards. I think maybe that is why you are seeing what looks like a line...did you use your colorless blender on this image at all? Hope this helps - if you would like the name of the site, let me know. There sure is a learning curve with these copics, my Mom and I spent most of the week trying to figure them out!!
OH Nicole, you are so sweet!! Thank you for the kind words!! Your image looks amazing!! Your blending is fantastic. The reason that you may be seeing what looks like a 'stain' is because you may have let the first layer dry a little bit when you went in to shade. Or you may not have gone over the whole apron with the final marker. Maybe you just did the top part while it was too dry. When you blend you have to do it fairly quickly, while it is moist and also the last layer has to go over the entire area. At least that has been my experience. I'm no Copic expert and I haven't been fortunate enough to take a certification class, but these are just a few things that I've learned along my Copic journey!! haha! Great job, girl!!
